Kimberley Browning is a filmmaker and film festival professional in Los Angeles. She is the Founder and Festival of HOLLYWOOD SHORTS, a short film screening series and Emerging Filmmakers Program launched in 1998. HOLLYWOOD SHORTS presents monthly short film screenings in Los Angeles as well as innovative seminars and production panels throughout the year. The HS Emerging Filmmakers Program provides full casting & production services, and also offers film festival strategy consulting for animators, documentary, short and feature filmmakers.
Kimberley is also the Short Film Programmer of FICGinLA, the Los Angeles edition of the annual Guadalajara International Film Festival. Kimberley served a full term as the Cinematic Arts Chair of the adjudication panel of YoungARTS, the national nomination committee of the White House's Presidential Scholars of the Arts. Kimberley also served as an Associate Short Film Programmer of the Los Angeles Film Festival from 2012 - 2014, and has curated programming for The American Cinematheque, Newport Beach Film Festival, as well as North Carolina's Hayti Heritage Center in North Carolina, and their annual African American Film Festival.
Kimberley produces films, television and new media, including original content for established brands and events. Kimberley recently directed the upcoming documentary Room 19 about an innovative 3rd grade teacher using arts education changing the way her students see the world and themselves. She is currently producing a series of anthology feature length theatrical releases, comprised of genre, horror and sci-fi short films. The next release is October's All Hallow's Eve 2.
